UnitingCare Queensland is concerned about the critical inadequacy of funding for residential aged care and the potential impacts on frail aged people and their families, the community and the aged care industry. In its position paper UnitingCare outlines the major challenges of declining viability, insufficient capital funding and faulty funding indexation and discusses the impacts of these on the lives of older people . The Position Paper calls on the Australian Government to act urgently to implement significant reform to aged care policy and funding.
